The O.M.A.R.E. Health, Wellness & Resource Center, II Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 community service organization, founded to improve the quality of life and enhance health awareness by providing an array of community programs, activities and workshops. OMARE (o.m.a.r.e.) stands for Outreach, Mentoring, Advocacy, Research and Education and is derived from the root name OMAR, which means first born.
The need for The O.M.A.R.E. Center, II Inc. became most prevalent in 2008, with a focus on individuals living in at-promised, under-represented, and under-resourced communities who were not made aware of and were not utilizing community resources. In responding to this call to action, The O.M.A.R.E Health, Wellness and Resource Center, II Inc. was created. Since then, the O.M.A.R.E. Center, II Inc. has been accomplishing its mission and goals, by conducting outreach, providing mentor programs, advising community members, researching community issues to identify conclusions and heightening health awareness through education.
The O.M.A.R.E Center, II Inc. continuously strives to make a difference for individuals living in the targeted service community which has made us a community staple and leader over the years. In light of continuous alarming health statistics, health professional shortages, all disparities and call to action agendas, the O.M.A.R.E Health, Wellness and Resource Center, II Inc. will remain a great asset, providing on-going creative and innovative programs for families, adolescents and youth, advocating good health and wellness, supporting community initiatives while promoting heightened health resource and services awareness.
